Description
Three origins, one shot. BCB is our house espresso blend, built from Brazil, Colombia, and Bali to be sweet, deep, and forgiving under pressure. Pull it straight or stretch it with milk; it was engineered for both.

BCB stands for the three coffees in the blend, and each earns its place. Brazil Cerrado is the foundation: a natural-process coffee from the Cerrado Mineiro plateau that brings full-bodied chocolate sweetness and low acidity. Colombia Supremo adds balance and structure, a washed coffee from the high-altitude Huila and Nariño highlands with caramel and milk-chocolate clarity. Bali Blue Moon supplies the body, an organic wet-hulled coffee from Bali's Kintamani highlands that lends a syrupy, chocolatey depth.
Each component is a coffee we sell on its own, so the blend is not a place to hide lesser lots. It is three good single-origin coffees chosen because they do specific things together that none of them does alone.
The CraftArchitecture for extraction
Espresso demands structure. A single-origin coffee can shine pulled through nine bars of pressure, but it is rarely forgiving; a few seconds or a couple of degrees off and the cup goes sharp or hollow. Blending gives us control, balancing sweetness, body, and acidity so the shot stays consistent from the first pull of the day to the last. The three components draw on natural, washed, and wet-hulled processing, layering fruit sweetness, clean structure, and heavy body into one cup.
We roast BCB to City+ at our Virginia Beach roastery, deep enough to develop the chocolate and caramel and to pull a thick crema, but short of the scorched, bitter territory that flattens a blend into generic dark espresso.
Dark Chocolate Caramel Brown Sugar Toasted Nut Body Medium-Full Acidity Low-Medium The CupBuilt for pressure, friendly with milk
Pulled as straight espresso, BCB leads with dark chocolate and caramel over a brown-sugar sweetness, with a toasted-nut finish and just enough acidity to keep it from going flat. The body is medium-full and the crema is thick. Add milk and it holds its ground: the chocolate and caramel carry through a cappuccino or latte instead of disappearing into the steamed milk. It is the kind of espresso that is hard to pull badly, which makes it as good for a busy morning at home as it is for a café bar.
Find Your FixBCB is built for espresso: start around a 1:2 ratio in 27 to 30 seconds and adjust the grind to taste. It is forgiving across machines and shines under milk in cappuccinos and lattes. It also makes an excellent moka pot or Aeropress cup when you want espresso-style intensity without a machine, and it turns into a deep, chocolatey cold brew. Explore the three coffees behind it, Brazil Cerrado, Colombia Supremo, and Bali Blue Moon, or browse all our coffee beans and find your fix.
